Bloom Lifting Tong
Bloom tong from "IMT" is specially
designed for safe handling of the billets from the casting pit to the final
lay down position. These efficient tongs are available for single and
multislab handling requirements and can be of mechanical, motorized or
hydraulic to suit the different application requirements of the clients.
The tongs are provided with a high temperature self lubricating bushes at the fulcrum that ensures smooth functioning and longer service life. The bush arrangement removes the need to cross drill pins for lubrication thereby removing any potential fracture points caused through stress raisers. This makes the tongs free from any kind of maintenance.
The billet tong may be customized to fit to any casting pit and diameter range. These tongs can also be fitted with powered slew if rotation is required, as well as load indicators and slab width measurement devices.
